We thought it would be fun to share a little behind the scenes information today! As I’m sure most of you know, as atlanta wedding planners we see it ALL! So of course we need to be prepared for what may come our way on a wedding day. We always have our Detailed I Do’s emergency kit on hand with necessities, but the following items are equally as important and imperative for doing our jobs well!
Our Wedding Day Essentials
Saving our feet and being comfortable while also looking classy is so important as a atlanta wedding planner. Rothy’s are our saving grace and we truly swear by them.
Aisleplanner Documents & Notes
Wondering what we have hanging out on our clipboards? Well, the week of a wedding we not only have internal meetings about your event but we use this time to print off all of the Aisleplanner information we’ve collaborated on for months. This includes: a setup list, wedding weekend timeline, mood boards, vendor contact info, design plan etc.
Branded T-Shirts & Aprons
We want to look the part even when we are getting down and dirty during setup. We love having our embroidered Oatmeal Lace aprons that allow us to easily tuck items into the pockets and our branded t-shirts that give us a cohesive team look. It’s nice to have a casual vibe during the afternoon and then change in a flash before guests arrive so we all look neat and put together after vendor load in.
Electric Arc Lighters
Because these are so perfect for sparkler sendoff’s and lighting candles quickly! If you haven’t tried these yet you need to bounce over to Amazon and order yours RIGHT NOW! These lighters use electric waves to light, are windproof & charge by USB. When we whip these out we like to think we look like pros! What more could you ask for?
It is so great to see texts and calls coming through while we are in hustle mode, making your vision come to life!
We encourage our couples to bring their invitation suite copy with them to their rehearsals so that we can built a custom styling kit the night before their wedding. Often times this includes styling ribbons, vintage scissors or props, vintage stamps, ring boxes & dishes that match each unique stationery collection. We then use this to style a flat lay image of your suite with your photographer!
A kick-ass team of boss babes
We have one amazing team that’s ultimate goal is to take care of our couples and their families. Each of our assistants and interns are passionate about planning, have careful attention to detail & keeps a smile on their face through any circumstance! We love our ladies!
A sense of humor
This is our biggest must have…because as atlanta wedding planners…we see it ALL! We work hard to remain professional and sensible in the face of adversity. We are trained to let things go and move on! We think quick on our feet but having a sense of humor always helps!
