Your wedding shower is one of the most exciting events in the timeline leading up to your big day. As Atlanta wedding planners, here at Detailed I Do’s we love every aspect of your wedding process, especially when it comes to details and styling! Finding the perfect wedding shower dress that uniquely flatters you can be somewhat of a challenge. I did some research this week, and by research I mean shopping, to try on some dresses myself so I could write this post from a truthful point of view! I visited some lovely stores with some incredible pieces that will make you feel simply stunning at your wedding shower.
Not only will I be sharing some dress and jumpsuit options, but also gorgeous accessory pieces as well. Our team recently visited Kendra Scott and experienced the magical Color Bar for the first time. But, more to come on this later, let’s get to the dresses!
My first stop was Anthropologie. The sheer thought of entering this shop has me smelling their signature Capri Blue Volcano scent, making the trip worthwhile even if this is not the spot for your perfect shower dress. Below are my favorite two pieces: the embroidered Farm Rio Quintana Maxi Dress and the ever-so comfortable Soleil Belted Jumpsuit .
This dress is light and airy. It is long enough to wear with wedges or heels but you could also get away with flats for a more comfortable feel. This was one of my favorite things I tried on during my dress escapade, and it’s so unique!
This jumpsuit is so comfortable. The top has a metal clip to assure the wrap-front style stays closed and it has pockets! Who doesn’t love that?
After leaving Anthropologie I visited Free People, Nordstrom, and J.Crew. Each store brought on new styles and looks that can apply to any bride. This button-up dress trend is so great for these hot Atlanta months and I lucked out in finding two picks from different stores for this look.
Both of these button-front dresses would be perfect and easy for your wedding shower look. The J.Crew dress on the left currently has a 30% discount option with code SHOPTOIT. The Free People dress is a great strapless option and would look even better with a statement jewelry piece.
This last dress is from the lovely Gal Meets Glam line and can be found at Nordstrom. The subtle floral pattern and fluttery sleeves make this piece elegant and relaxed all wrapped into one. And here is the designer herself, Julia, modeling it for us!
And what would a shower dress ensemble be without some standout accessories? Last week the Detailed I Do’s team visited Kendra Scott. If you haven’t visited this wondrous accessory shop, you need to, especially to stock up for all of your pre-wedding day fun. Within the Kendra Scott store there is The Color Bar . Yes, this is as amazing as it sounds. You choose the setting of your ring, bracelet, necklace, or earrings and customize your piece with any of the gorgeous-colored stones on display. Here are a few of the pieces that caught our eye and would work perfectly with your wedding shower look.
Whether it’s finding a wedding shower dress or choosing the accessories to embellish it, this process is supposed to be stress-free and fun! Check out these fabulous and easy dress picks as well as the magical Color Bar . Always keep in mind your shower dress should reflect your personality and make you feel beautiful, you are the bride after all! Happy dress hunting!
