The holidays are upon us! In fact, there’s only 12 days until Christmas, but who’s counting? Well we are, but we’re Atlanta wedding coordinators, so we’ve always got an internal timeline going. The Detailed I Do’s team gathered together last week and crafted up some easy + delicious holiday cocktails for you to whip up before guests arrive. Our associate planner, Christine Hawkins, actually doubles as a mixologist. She is very modest about this, but don’t be fooled, she truly is a cocktail connoisseur. Keep scrolling to see what festive cocktails Christine crafted to pair with the 2018 holiday season.

Pomegranate Bellini

Let’s start off with the simplest concoction. We used Ruffino Prosecco which is fruity and fragrant. Christine paired this with PAMA Pomegranate Liquor. The liquor is what gives this festive cocktail that pretty color. To top it off, we garnished with pomegranate seeds. So simple and so delicious. This drink is perfect to pass around for a holiday party toast.

Rosemary Bourbon Honey Cocktail 

This next mixture takes a little more effort but is still quick to whip up before guests arrive. It has a more masculine feel from the bourbon, but the honey adds a southern sweetness. Tossing in that sprig of rosemary makes it festive and gives it a nice burst of flavor too.

To start, Christine made the rosemary honey simple syrup. Below are the simple ingredients and directions.

Rosemary Honey Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 fresh sprigs of rosemary
  1. Pour the honey and water into a small saucepan and stir to dissolve the honey. Place the rosemary sprig into the honey water. Place the saucepan on high and heat until the liquid comes to a boil. Remove from heat, and set aside to cool for 10 minutes.
  2. Once cooled, remove the rosemary sprig. The syrup will keep in the fridge for about a week.


  • 2.5 ounces Bourbon
  • 4 tsp Rosemary Honey Simple Syrup
  • 2-3 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 2-3 ice cubes
  • 1 orange peel
  • 1 Rosemary sprig
  1. Place 2-3 ice cubes into a rocks glass and set aside. Using a paring knife or a vegetable peeler, peel a 3″ strip from an orange for garnish.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour the bourbon, rosemary honey syrup, and bitters into the cocktail shaker. Stir to combine, and pour the cocktail into the rocks glass.
  3. Twist the orange peel over the cocktail and garnish with a rosemary sprig.

And voila! Your Rosemary Bourbon Honey Cocktail is ready to be poured and enjoyed by everyone because who wouldn’t love this one?!

Campfire Cocktail 

Okay this one holds a special place in my heart because it is SO delicious. I mean, the team had to taste test right? If you’re a wimp when it comes to cocktails or if you have a sweet tooth, this is the one for you. Plus, it’s so cute, who wouldn’t want to sip on this while they mingle or cozy up by the fire?

This one, like the other two, has minimal steps and takes no time at all the concoct. Christine put the graham crackers in a plastic bag before crushing which minimized the mess. Also, it involves toasting marshmallows on a skillet, which will undoubtedly make your home smell amazing.

  • 1 marshmallow
  • Ice
  • 1 Tbsp. graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 oz. 2% milk
  • 1 oz. vodka
  • 2 oz. Baileys
  • 2 oz. 2% milk
  • 1 Tbsp. chocolate syrup
  1. Rim a cocktail glass with chocolate syrup and immediately roll in graham cracker crumbs.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add vodka, Baileys, and milk. Shake at least 30 seconds.
  3. Place ice cubes in your glass and pour cocktail mixture on top.
  4. Heat a small pan over medium heat and toast marshmallow for 1 minute.
  5. Add marshmallow to top of drink and enjoy!

Cranberry-Garnished Moscow Mule 

Lastly, Christine whipped up a Moscow Mule. To add a holiday twist, she garnished it with cranberries. And we must say the contrast between the lime and the cranberry makes this cocktail pop in the best way. So festive, so fun, and a total crowd pleaser.

  1. Squeeze lime juice into a Moscow Mule Mug.
  2. Add 2-3 ice cubes, then pour in vodka.
  3. Fill with ginger beer, stir, and enjoy!
