What a year it has been! 2018 was a pivotal year for Detailed I Do’s and we’re thankful for every second of it. We’re dedicating our final blog post of 2018 (ah!) to highlight this past year. From all the gorgeous weddings our planners, Danielle and Christine, crafted to travelling to Charleston for our dream styled shoot, this year was one for the books. As wedding planners, we love this industry and all the new faces and places we get to experience with each experience. The truth is, each wedding is a completely new adventure for us. A new venue, a new design plan, and best of all a new couple! When searching for ‘wedding planners near me’, just know there’s nothing we enjoy more than working alongside you and by the end of your wedding day, being able to call you friend. So, without further ado, here’s a snapshot of some of our weddings from this past year.
This sunny day at Puritan Mill was filled with gorgeous pastels and earthy centerpieces in cement vessels. Shelby and Buck share such a sweet love for one another. The moments captured of their bridal party and families is a beautiful reflection of the love they all share for this amazing couple.
Nadia and David’s day was such a unique combination of design elements. This East meets West wedding had pops of deep reds, dusty blue linens, and rose-colored glassware. It was nothing short of a perfect evening at the Piedmont Garden Tent.
Kelly + Ryan wed at Chateau Elan and may we just add how stunning Kelly looked?! She took everyone’s breath away, especially Ryan. This winery wedding had touches of Southern charm throughout. Peaches in the centerpieces, guest gift boxes filled with Southern treats, and Chick-fil-a sandwiches served as a late night snack at the reception.
Waterfall Country Club was where Jennifer and Richard tied the knot and trust us when we say the views are out of this world! Overlooking Lake Burton, the terrace where they said their I Do’s is breathtaking. Richard wore a custom suit that was a brilliant shade of blue, while Jennifer rocked a two-piece gown from Garnish and Frill.
Cara and John’s day was perfect in every way . . . we swear we’re not biased! Set in the rolling hills of Ball Ground, Georgia, we transformed this room into a secret garden with the help of Gold & Bloom. With greenery climbing up the walls and weaving it’s way throughout the entire space, we could stare at photos from this reception all day. Mauve taper candles and Gold Rain napkins from Nuage Designs decked out the estate table and after the champagne toasts, this crowd danced the night away.
This garden-set ceremony turned restaurant soiree, had so many fun design elements. Caitlin and Chris said their I Do’s at Cator Woolford Gardens and held an intimate reception at West Egg Cafe. The restaurant was transformed into a celebration space fit perfectly for the pair. It was so fun combining West Egg’s decor with our own design to create a unique aesthetic.
Michelle + Nick’s gorgeous day at Puritan Mill was probably our most diverse color palette of 2018. We combined hues of purple, green, and turmeric and accompanied this eclectic mix with ghost chairs and farmhouse tables placed throughout. Head planner, Danielle, wove together a design plan that displayed these starkly different colors in such a beautiful way. We adore Michelle + Nick’s love for color and so enjoyed working with these two and their wonderful families.
Our adventures in Charleston were definitely a highlight for our team this year. We set out with some of our beloved vendor friends to create + capture a styled shoot that had long been on our minds. This shoot was recently featured on A Low Country Wed and will be popping up in more publications come 2019! Below are a few sneak peeks of this romantic and bright southern affair set at Magnolia Plantation.
Candice and Matt tied the knot at Chateau Elan Winery + Resort. These two were so much fun to work with as we hand-crafted their entire design plan during the planning process. With Tuscan undertones and a reception space showered in greenery and candlelight, this evening felt like a trip to Italy.
And to wrap up the highlights, Gabi + Tim’s day was our last wedding of the year. These two are a perfect match and their love for one another is infectious. Gabi is a brilliant blogger with impeccable style and her and Tim’s wedding day was a reflection of this. These two both surprised each other with special gifts on the day of, not knowing that the other even had anything planned. We will have our hands on this gorgeous gallery soon, so check back for more from this colorful day at Factory Atlanta.
And that’s a wrap on 2018! Reflecting on all these beautiful days and couples brings us so much joy. The Detailed I Do’s team would like to thank all the talented vendors we had the privilege of working alongside this year. And a thank you to our couples for entrusting us with your best day, it’s truly an honor to do what we do. So, a happy new year to you all and we can’t wait to see what it will bring! Come 2019 we will be sharing a very exciting announcement that entails the expansion of Detailed I Do’s and some insight into what we have been cooking up. For those newly engaged couples searching for ‘wedding planners near me’, we are currently booking 2019 and 2020 weddings! Thank you for following along with our journey. Bring it on 2019!
