As a wedding planner in Atlanta, the Detailed I Do’s team is constantly working in new spaces and venues. This is one of the many reasons we feel so blessed to do what we do; each experience is so different than the next. Last month we kicked off 2019 with our first wedding of the year at the Fox Theatre. We rarely get the chance to work in such a historic space, not to mention an iconic landmark in the city of Atlanta!
Morgan and Wesley’s wedding day was timeless, just like their love. The day started right across the street from the theatre at The Georgian Terrace. Then, we traveled up Peachtree Street to an even more historic site, Peachtree Christian Church, which was built in 1925. Then, it was off to the Fox Theatre for a night of live music and merriment. Keep scrolling for the sweetest moments and all the little details captured by Lindsey LaRue.
Morgan was surrounded by an amazing circle of women. These ladies kept her laughing all day. Morgan was so easy going and relaxed on the day of and her bridesmaids matched that, which always makes it easy for the bride to stay that way! We uphold the fact that being a bridesmaid is such an honor and being present on the wedding day is a must. All six of these ladies were focused on Morgan and you could tell they were honored to stand by her side.
Morgan and her bridesmaids could see the Fox Theatre from their window at The Georgian Terrace. We think this is such a fun detail that the girls got to peer out every so often and watch vendors go in and out for setup. Although the reception space was out of eye shot, imagining the wedding of her dreams coming together just feet away was so exciting for Morgan!
Seriously, could she get any more gorgeous?! Morgan looked striking in this sleek and simple gown with button detail all the way down to the hem. Classically beautiful, she stopped her mother in her tracks. The shots of them below seriously bring us to tears. Morgan’s sister was the matron of honor and helped to button up Morgan’s dress. Surrounded by family, these getting ready moments are so special and we love the infectious joy Lindsey LaRue captured.
This family heirloom ring box was used to hold Morgan’s wedding band. This photo of her holding it in her hands is such a sweet sentiment. It’s details like this a wedding planner in Atlanta cherishes; we live for special these special moments.
Morgan and Wesley met out on the terrace for the first look. The Georgian Terrace’s light and bright architecture made for the perfect backdrop. However, these two’s love is so sweet, this first look would have looked amazing anywhere. The sky was slightly overcast that day, casting a beautiful dove gray hue over the couple as they saw each other for the first time.
We seriously could not get enough of these two! Our team was tucked away inside but could not stop ourselves from peeking around the corner time and time again to catch a glimpse of these two lovebirds! After couple’s portraits, Morgan and Wesley were joined by friends and family out on the terrace for the cutest photo session.
Morgan wore a stunning vintage fur jacket for some of these shots. It was such a unique piece and looked like it was made for her; being a February bride you know she had to have some shots with fur! The bridal party photo session was concluded with these shots of Morgan and Wesley surrounded by their closest friends. These two are so loved!
Then, it was off to Peachtree Christian Church to say their I Do’s! Let us just say this church is so breathtaking. From the stained glass to the intricate, vaulted ceiling, this church is known for doing a vast amount of weddings per year because of how drawn couples are to its beauty.
