The year’s not even halfway over and our Atlanta wedding design team has successfully executed not one but three styled shoots! We decided it would be best to do them all in the same timeframe. And let us tell you, boy was it a whirlwind but so worth it! We could not have accomplished any of this without the amazing vendors that teamed up with us.
This styled shoot in particular is one we cannot contain our excitement about. As an Atlanta wedding design team we love both bright + airy as well as moody aesthetics. Style varies with each new couple we work with and that’s one of the things we love about this work! This shoot at The 12th Table studio is an ode to our editorial hearts and a step toward a different aesthetic than you may be used to seeing from us.
Detailed I Do’s floral designer, Megan Dunlap, has a knack for choosing the best blooms. The tulips Megan gathered for this shoot were like nothing we’ve ever seen! So crisp and perfectly peachy, needless to say they were ready for their close up. Head planner, Danielle, had so much fun manipulating the leaves when styling the invitation suite. The 12th Table‘s studio has abundant natural light in the foyer, so obviously this raw floor is where we had to style these details.
We had the pleasure of working with a caterer for this styled shoot, which was such a treat for us! It can be rare for styled shoots to feature caterers, but for us it makes it that much more realistic to actually have food involved! Moveable Feast is a husband and wife duo that are taking Atlanta by storm. Paula and Oliver’s creations are colorful, absolutely delicious, and always have a stunning presentation. Don’t you worry, the food photos are coming. Creating a unique Atlanta wedding design is our duty as well. So, we made our way back to the studio kitchen to borrow a few items from Paula to style the rest of the invitation suite.
Our model, Haylee, floated in this angelic gown by Dan Jones from The Sentimentalist. This dress is appropriately named the ‘Stevie’ gown after Stevie Nicks and her iconic flowy style. Paired with Haylee’s whimsical movement and Michelle Scott’s unique art for photography, this combo is something we’ll forever obsess over.
This pearl studded veil from The Sentimentalist was everything. Every person who laid eyes on it wished they could wear it 24/7. It was the perfect girly touch on an otherwise eclectic look.
As promised, feast your eyes below on these shots of Moveable Feast’s delectable creations. With large wooden cutting boards filled with seasonal radishes, artisinal cheese, and deviled eggs nothing about this spread is average. Judging by the hands in the photos you can see that we dug in after the work was done.
To fit the moody vibes, Oliver and Paula made this squid ink pasta garnished with mushrooms. Head planner, Danielle, brought this vintage bowl from her home to display the entree in, giving it an earthy feel. A wedding day is centered around one thing all your guests have in common: love of food. On your wedding day, having food uniquely displayed that tastes this good is a must.
And here they are, the faces that make up a Moveable Feast! After watching Paula and Oliver pose for the camera we saw two things: 1. a love between these two that is too cute to handle and 2. a model couple that we’ll be scouting for our next styled shoot . . .
The black walls at The 12th Table studio are one of the many things that drew us in to the space. Once our head planner, Danielle, pictured the tablescape displayed in front of this black wall, the entire color palette just clicked in her head. What you see below is the work of our incredible floral designer, Megan, who suspended gorgeous branches over the table to create this whimsical installation. Paired with marble chargers and matte black plates from TableMade.Co, this aesthetic is modish and timeless all at once.
These earl gray rectangular pillar candles gave the tablescape dimension next to the low, lush centerpiece. Delicate bud vases with anemones complimented the matte black plates and gold-dipped flatware.
It truly is all in the details. Every design element of this shoot seemed to fall in place perfectly and that’s what happens when we get to work with such talented and driven minds! This aesthetic is the product of our Detailed I Do’s growing and expanding outside of the box that Southern style can sometimes put us in. Thank you to all the vendors who made this project possible. We can’t wait to share our other projects from this season with you soon!
