When we first met Lindsey and Josh, we knew we were kindred spirits. These two have a love for floral, color, and funky design elements. All three of which make for a unique and stunning wedding day to a full service wedding planner. Lindsey is a certified yogi who studied her practices abroad. These travels amplified her love of different cultures, which along with our floral + design team brought to life our vision of a Marrakesh inspired wedding design.
Lindsey’s extensive travel around the world has provided her with lots of foreign goodies and trinkets. It was so much fun going through these pieces with her and hearing of her adventures. We used these miniature rugs on the guest book table and also as a backdrop to style the invitation suite. We snagged some rich blooms from our floral designer and went to work styling this suite with pieces of exotic fruit.
For the escort cards, we used these fun emerald and rust colored tassels to accent each name card. These added that fun touch of Moroccan flare into cocktail hour.
We love this shot of Lindsey and her mother. If her smile isn’t contagious, we don’t know what is. We wish photos captured sound too because her laugh is also contagious.
Lindsey’s accessories were so unique and so her. Her mixed metal jewelry paired with those bright coral nails made for such a fun look. And hello, do you see these shoes?! How cool are these Alice + Olivia suede platforms?
Watching the reaction to their first time seeing the bouquet is one of our floral designer’s favorite moments. Although we have design meetings and discuss what it will look like, there’s no way to truly picture the beauty that’s created in a bouquet design. As a full service wedding planner, the bouquet is an element that holds weight in our hearts because you hold it close to you the whole day through.
Don’t you love Josh’s excited side eye in this shot as he’s trying his hardest not to peek. The couple did their First Look in front of the ceremony backdrop. Our floral team installed those hanging planted you see with fishing line so they really looked as if they were floating against the drapery. Around the base of the draping our team stacked lavish floral arrangements in an assortment of eclectic vessels.
The natural light flooding in with these two so overjoyed to embrace each other makes our wedding planning hearts swoon. The textures of the dress, exposed brick walls, and florals all pull from each other so nicely. We’d like this photo printed largely and framed in our office please.
After bridal party photos, Lindsey and Josh popped some champagne with their people and had a toast! This is such a nice way to sum up photos, and makes for such a cute shot as well!
Placed at the base of the draping at the altar were vessels of all different textures and sizes. Some growing out of woven baskets and others set in funky clay pottery. We wanted this ceremony space to be overflowing with blooms and greenery of all different heights, creating that diverse market feel. The rug all of this sat atop was a piece from Lindsey’s family.
And then all of a sudden it was happening! Lindsey walked down the aisle arm in arm with her parents to the song ‘I Wish I Was’ by The Avett Brothers. This was the song that Josh first told Lindsey that he loved her. If you’ve never heard this tune, you should go give it a listen.
Guest tables were embellished with turquoise and rust colored linens, lush floral arrangements, plenty of candlelight, and exotic fruits. Each table was unique and had its own touch of flare. Our floral team had a blast dressing up each table with these eclectic elements.
Instead of a wedding cake, Lindsey and Josh chose to incorporate different types of mini desserts from Gingerspice Bakery. Nicole of Gingerspice is known for not only how absolutely delicious her creations are, but also how beautifully her designs are. With Lindsey and Josh’s fun color palette we knew Nicole would be the perfect match. Just in case you were wondering, which I know you are, to the left we have dried floral petal petit fours, assorted macaroons, mini key lime pies, and last but not least mini chocolate donuts.
Guests sent Lindsey and Josh off with miniature tambourines. The clanking of these mini boho music makers mixed with the exclamations of joy as all their loved ones waived goodbye was music to our ears. Lindsey and Josh, working with you two brought us such joy. You two’s kindness and free-spirited ways made planning your big day so much fun. We couldn’t be happier than you chose Detailed I Do’s as your full service wedding planner. We love you two and wish you all the best!
